New York Archdiocese Is Likely To Merge More Parishes

The vast reorganization of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York will merge several churches and parishes and could include three churches in White Plains and another four between Dobbs Ferry, Hastings and Ardsley, according to The New York Times. The latest proposal released by Cardinal Timothy Dolan would merge St. John the Evangelist the Church of St. Bernard and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains, with St. John the Evangelist being the parish church, LoHud.com reported.
