Tuckahoe and Ardsley Land on State 'Fiscal Stress' List

The villages of Tuckahoe and Ardsley are currently under "significant" and "moderate" fiscal stress , respectively, according to a new report released Monday by state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli. The two are the only communities in Westchester County to make the list, which in total names 22 municipalities around the state that are in various degrees of fiscal stress.

Wilson 'Bill' Orts, 85, Ossining Resident

Ardsley HS's Team Wins First Place In Regional Science Olympiad

The Ardsley High School Science Olympiad team won first place in the Lower Hudson Valley Regional Competition, hosted at Byram Hills High School. Thirty-nine teams from 24 Westchester and Rockland schools competed in 23 science and engineering events ranging from Cell Biology and Entomology to Astronomy and Compound Machines.

The Ardsley High School Science Olympiad team, one of 39 teams from 24 Westchester and Rockland schools, recently won first place overall in the Lower Hudson Valley Regional Competition, hosted at Byram Hills High School. The schools competed in 23 science and engineering events ranging from "Cell Biology" and "Entomology" to "Astronomy" and "Compound Machines," according to the school, and Ardsley won 10 gold, five silver and 10 bronze medals to place first overall.

Local Rivertowns Businesses Join Together to Fight Multiple Sclerosis on February 8th.
