Ardsley Garden Club and Dobbs Ferry Women's Club invites residents for a combined Oktoberfest fundraiser, featuring dinner and music in the beer garden, on Sunday, Nov. 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The dinner will be a roast pork entree with all trimmings. TJ Lyons, a senior at Ardsley High School who is working on his Eagle Scout project, is collecting items for the Yonkers Animal Shelter, particularly towels, dog and cat toys and dog and cat food. With the permission of the village of Ardsley and the cooperation of the parks and recreation director, Lyons has set up a collection box in the foyer of the Community Center at 18 Center St. The box will be in place through the end of October.
